Trust starts with care.
Parents entrust their children to a madrassa. That responsibility extends to their data. That’s why MadrassaHub is built to store as little as possible and protect it as well as possible.
What we don’t do.
Sometimes that says more than a list of measures.
No advertising
The app shows no ads and uses no advertising ID.
No tracking
No cross-app tracking, no session recordings and no product analytics.
No selling of data
We don’t sell personal data, to anyone.
No data without a reason
We only process what’s needed for teaching, communication and security.
How we protect your data.
The measures below apply to every school, from day one.
Separated per school
Every school has its own environment. Data is only visible to authorised users of that school.
Access per role
A parent sees their own children, a teacher their own classes. Admins decide who has which role.
Encrypted transport
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted.
Short, rotating sessions
Access tokens are short-lived and sessions rotate. The school can revoke sessions if a phone is lost.
No passwords on the device
The app doesn’t store passwords or verification codes on your phone.
Uploads checked
Uploaded files are scanned for malware.
Logging without content
Technical logs contain no sensitive content such as messages or student records.
Backups and restore tests
Backups with a rolling retention of at most 30 days. Restoring is tested periodically.
Recovery codes
An admin who has lost access can get back in securely with recovery codes.
The school stays in control.
Under the GDPR, the school is the data controller for student and parent data. MadrassaHub only processes that data on the school’s behalf.
- Retention periodsThe school decides how long school data is kept, according to its own policy.
- Parents’ rightsRequests for access, correction or deletion go to the school. We help the school with them.
- ProcessorsOnly carefully chosen providers for hosting, storage, email and payments, with appropriate safeguards.
